They’re shit too. That’s worth noting.
One to remortgage the house for
Maybe they are just planning on staying the night or like me possibly attending both games depending on who’s in the first game.
The date on the tweet is 11/6… Have no doubts, Cork are back.
The big screens were erected in Charleville last night
Meh.
Life is a bit shit for a lot of people particularly from Monday to Friday. Following your team is a great release. I wouldn’t begrudge anybody for getting carried away particularly when those trains tickets are at a premium.
It’s better to have dreamed is my philosophy.
We were talking about Cork getting carried away and local press saying they were in a semi final.
We will beat Dublin and Id fancy us against Limerick. We are creating a tonne of goal chances, more than any other team. Our pace if utilised right, will cause Limerick serious trouble. Our puck out strategy is a lot more than simply going long and trying to win the breaks. Pat Ryan has done a great job. A lot of progress.
That’s the thing. Clare just went long and it didn’t work. Cork coughed up two goals going short v Limerick but that also kept Limerick guessing and allowed cork to get so much success from a varied puck out.
That’s why the basics are so crucial for defenders now. Cork don’t need to cut out short puck outs they just need to get better at them.
I hope Wexford beat Clare, just to add a bit more to the championship, that it might show we are going in the right direction and to give the long suffering fans a bit of hope and enjoyment again.
But it would be absolutely lovely to see us win, which means Cork play a different day and all those train tickets bought has been a waste of time.
Even if you go back to that disaster v Kilkenny in 2019 Kilkenny identified Richie English as bad ball player and allowed him on a lot of ball. They got much joy off this that day.
In 2020 Barry Nash was deployed as a corner back.
Cork went very long with the wind in PUC.
What happened second half against the wind?
Limerick are coughing up a lot of goal chances this year tho. Part of that is Will having to do a lot more work around the house. Will and DOD back will restore more balance.
Pity there was no puck out strategy yesterday. It was just hoof the ball and hope Hayes comes down with it. Absolutely shocking. Too much of yesterday seemed and looked like lads who were given no plan of instruction which is worrying. It’s enough to put away Offaly but not much better.
The average IQ of these Cork lads is very low.
Hurling is still whacking the ball up & down the field to a large degree but it’s much more sophisticated than it used to be. To use a GAA cliche, Cork weren’t going to show their hand yesterday for things like puck outs.
The Limerick goal in the first half was a turn over by gillane was it not ?
At least Laois played right way yesterday and went for it for the 70 minutes, no sweepers or anything like that. Got a true reflection of where they are and where they need to get to if they want to get to the next level physically and with their hurling.
They lost by 29 points to Wexford in 2022.
Offaly play the sweeper or Bourke as a 3rd midfielder, as you go in to the Liam Mc and Leinster you are not surviving with 2 inside forwards.
Kinnerkbot has already gone into overdrive studying Cork’s puckouts since PUC. He looks like a fella starved of sleep and sustenance since that game.
