I think you are wrong. I think a lot of people know who Joe Brolly is. Iâd say about 90% of the sort of people who will vote in an Irish presidential election know who he is.
Also 98% of the country had no idea who Mary McAleese was and Iâd wager that figure wasnât much lower with Mary Robinson.
Iâd say about 4% of people knew who Sean Gallagher was, which is probably why he came so close to winning.
If Joe runs Iâd give him about a 33% chance of winning.
