With all the talk around Kerry’s support, I thought there was an immense Kerry following in Croker on Sunday. They made themselves heard. Could say they’re the best team etc and of course that would bring all the support but they’ve been on and off the best team for the better part of 100 years.
The rules, the weather, the Cliff. It was something to behold, the big Kerry support mixed with the bright blue Dublin wave of support. Louth and Mayo colours looked cool on TV but this took it to another level on Sunday. Unfortunately the green/gold and the green/red won’t bring a nice contrast for the final in the stadium but that’s the way it goes sure.

Croke Park was at less than 50% capacity that day because of Covid rules. There was a better atmosphere at the Tailteann Cup final on Saturday.
Dublin v Mayo 2021 was capped at 30% capacity of I believe. The crowd at the Tamlaght O’Crilly Flute Band Cup Final on Saturday last was capped at 9% of capacity.

According to the GAA Official Guide
Rule 4.9, under ‘Technical Fouls’, states: “4.9 For an attacking player to enter opponents’
small rectangle:
(a) During Play (excluding Set Play), before the
final play of the ball into the small rectangle.
(b) In Set Play, before the ball enters the small rectangle.”
As we all know of course you can run through the square in open play, so no issue there. He didn’t interfere with the keeper. And finally if he connected with the ball outside the square then it is not a square ball.
That would suggest he didn’t connect with the ball in the square or at the very best it’s inconclusive.
Knowing Ger Brennan as I do, I would expect him to have made a call to Kildare and Kerry apologising for his post match statements.
I wouldn’t expect the likes of Small to do likewise but what would you expect from a pig but a grunt
