After the tax man has his cut and management takes their % they’d be left with between 40 and 45k.
When Johnny Clayton was starting out he didn’t have much money. His management were funding him early on so they agreed that they’d get a bigger % of prize money than what would be considered standard.

The Premier League is a 17 night exhibition. The prize money doesn’t go towards the rankings.

In what year did the sky one fully usurp the bbc one? I remember arguing the bbc case in school in the early to mid 90s some time @ChairmanDan and @Cheasty style

I thought I heard Searle there saying he’s doing this for his grandkids? So I googled him and he’s only 38yrs old. Also saw from that Google search that he has a hereditary eye condition that gets progresses worse and will lead to blindness eventually. Sometimes he cannot see where the darts land. Quite remarkable then that he’s so good.
