I see nothing wrong with what you posted mate, just checking out whether Rocko will be sticking to the same guidelines or whether he will move the goalposts again.
They’re different posts saying different things. Can’t you see that? I’m deleting that other one but what you said was liable to get you in trouble.
EDIT: misread post at first
Highly doubtful Rocko
Which is excellent money for honest work. The problem is people getting big money for just being a “put in a professional job”. People should be rewarded for loyalty, consistent good work an for taking on responsibility like managing groups of people as well as doing their own share. Owners who deliver employment also deserve to make some money.
Don’t think it’s all one sides, many tradesmen were sham contracting. Which is getting a contract but basically doing nothing only passing it in to another contractor and taking 10 euros an hour for each worker. This kind of shit ruined the trades and exaggerated the rates and costs of building.
But it’s all driven by greed, and capitalism is driven by greed.
I’m talking about a solution to a problem here. Your answer is to ignore the problem and cover it up with a lick of paint. It’s no wonder you were earning average money during the boom. You neither had the skills to carry out the work to a good standard nor the initiative to take advantage of the crazy money that was there for the taking during this period
Just to be clear.
Raven’s post falls into unfunny banter but it’s not appropriate on this particular thread at this particular time. Normally I wouldn’t really mind it, apart from the fact I didn’t enjoy the humour.
Your post the other day basically said what was posted here without naming anyone. That may lead to problems for anyone who saw the person in the original post.
What do you think a painter would do, you don’t have to be a genius or a trade to work it out.
A few things I didn’t do anyway in the boom were;
Get in debt
Buy an over priced house
Fuck anyone over
I’m happy enough how I came out if it to be honest.

fair play kev, you’re reaping the rewards now
how would you have gone about fucking someone over back then?

Charged them a heap of money for delivering a load of fliers only to fuck them in the bin once the client was out of sight.

I’m afraid you don’t understand my query. Let’s leave it at that

I don’t know, ask one of the accountants.
Would the client not have taken the fliers away with them?
@Fran just to get back to your question it is not preventative measures, all houses will crack and a nice bit. It’s all about fillers and time and having waited for the plaster to have fully dried. which was never done during boom times.
No. You would have sold them a combined package of printing and delivery.

Kev, I have a couple of points which I have presented in a numbered list below for ease of reading.
[]You are essentially advocating performance-based pay instead of a flat salary structure.
[]The accountancy profession has one of the most performance-based pay structures of any profession or industry. It’s one of the biggest gripes people have with it.
[]Most socialists would argue that there should be a greater universailty in wages and the culture of bonuses should be done away with.
[]In trying to present an argument for socialism, you have instead presented an argument consistent with the ideologies of IBEC based around a tiered payment system driven by “good work” which quickly becomes a synonym for profitability.
Thank you Rintintin. To prevent the cracks from appearing I would imagine humidity levels would have to be maintained at a certain level to prevent the plaster drying out too fast.
I’m glad it’s not just a case of painting over the cracks, sure any fool could do that
