Huh?
+1. Laughed down the phone if you suggested less than €30 an hour for a job. Make hay while the sun shines I suppose.
Plasterers most certainly made more than accountants . Doubtful chippys did. They were the one trade that didn’t totally go out of control.
Agreed. Yet every new house built in the last 8 years has plaster cracking all over the place. CUNTS.
It i
No it’s not
Its total bollix runt. They had plenty work and worked long hours if they wanted but their actual wage would never touch an accountant.
Plaster will always crack in a new house. That’s what a good painter and decorator is for, a house will be settling for a few years after the foundation and blockwork are done.
Granted, but what i have seen in some houses would require more than paint to sort it out. Some of the work carried out near the end of the boom was scandalous.
Kev is all over the place. His eeking out a living and hunting expeditions with the aboriginals have seriously fucked up his mind-
What Do you work at?

There are many many different levels of “accountants”. Some would have earned more than a plaster, some would have earned less.
I agree completely houses were thrown together but a big issue with cracks showing in houses is fellas thinking they can paint themselves. There is a lot more to it than just slapping emulsion on the walls.
In the words of the virgin Mary, come again!
There is??
They were the best of them alright but there were still plenty of them who lost the run of themselves. I would exclude Shuttering Carpenters from that but some of the other lads wanted silly money and half the fuckers couldn’t hang a door properly.
You could fit extractor fans in some of the cracks i have seen.
I run a cash for gold store in Limerick city.
So you are using trainees for your argument?
Piss off, you are talking thru your arse.
Let me rephrase for you.
You have expressed an admiration for Healy Rae on here before. I think that’s an admiration few socialists would hold.

what’s wrong with earning an honest living and paying tax?
Think people get the wrong impression sometimes if the prices/rates tradesmen were getting in the boom. Any guy working for someone was probably getting somewhere in the region of 650-759 a week for a flat week.
Now on nixers guys were charging massive money, but people who paid them that we’re just idiots and trades people took advantage of all the cash going around.
Other than that they made real good money by working their balls off 50-60 hours a week. The rates never improve that much.
