But this true of all communities in the US. The vast majority of violent crimes in the white community is white on white, in Hispanic communities it is Hispanic on Hispanic etc.
The level on black on black crime needs to be called out by the black leaders but you never hear a peep about it. Instead, they condition black people to always feel like victims.
It’s very similar to how pavee point act here. Never condemning the fact that travelers settle scores by beating the living shit out of each other, but then losing their mind when a guard and a fireman did traveller style call out videos (to promote a charity fight).
Always the victims. Always an excuse. And the cycle keeps going.

Fair enough. Ireland was a desperately poor country for the first 4 decades of its independence. Why wasn’t violent crime and murder more prevalent?

Yes but the scale in black communities dwarfs other communities. 53% of males murdered in the US are black, 93% of them murdered by black men. In a country where the black population is 14%.

If the point you are trying to make is that travellers in Ireland aren’t discrimated against from the moment they are born, subject to racism almost every day of their life, then I’ll have a conversation.

That isn’t the point I am making, clearly you lack comprehension skills. Discrimination and racism exists in every country where you have more than one ethnic group. It isn’t the root cause of violence in my opinion, otherwise you would see a lot more violence.
My point is that only the travelling community in Ireland can address the level of violence within their own community, just as only the black community in the US can address the level of violence in their community. Until that is done things will largely stay as they are.

Because we were all poor together for the most part. There wasn’t any distinction of race hence no anger at ill treatment.
Of course travellers are now going down the violent crime route - big time.
