An Israeli air strike on a UN school packed with hundreds of displaced Palestinians in central Gaza has reportedly killed at least 35 people.
Local journalists told the BBC that a warplane fired two missiles at classrooms on the top floor of the school in the urban Nuseirat refugee camp. Videos showed the destruction and a number of bodies.
Israelâs military said it had âconducted a precise strike on a Hamas compoundâ in the school and killed many of the 20 to 30 fighters it believed were inside.
Gazaâs Hamas-run Government Media Office denied the claim and accused Israel of carrying out a âhorrific massacreâ.
Dead and wounded people were rushed to the al-Aqsa Martyrsâ Hospital, in the nearby town of Deir al-Balah which has been overwhelmed since the Israeli military began a new ground operation against Hamas in central Gaza this week.

Sure they invaded Lebanon before and occupied it and it got them nowhere.
Iâd say itâs irrelevant for Benjy what the outcome would be, itâs the action and keeping the spotlight off him.
Whatever the fuck he has on the current US leadership must be huge as itâs clearly apparent his prolonged war effort is aimed at nothing more than enabling his own personal ambitions/interests & keeping him out of jail.

Youâre not wrong but itâs not just him. The most of his government are as bad as him and many of them are far worse. There is significant public support in Israel for invading Lebanon (again). I think I read something like 70% were in support of it a few months back (probably diminished somewhat since).
The Hezbollah lads appear to love flashier videos of their missiles so itâll look a bit more high tech than the Hamas lads fighting with pitchforks from their tunnels
