A two state solution cannot and will not happen because the West Bank is already effectively divided into Bantustans.
The Arab population of the region of Palestine (Israel + the occupied territories) in 1948 was 1.2 million. Today it is close to 7 million. If the Israelis wanted to drive Palestinians out of all Palestine, they have done a dreadful job really.
Compared to say the efforts to drive all Jews out of Europe in the 30s/40s, which saw the Jewish population decline from 9.5 million to 3.5 million, with 6 million dead rather than being driven out. Thereâs only 1.4 million Jews left in Europe now, and 15 million worldwide, less than there were in 1939.
A single state solution would have a Jewish minority, with a Muslim majority, most likely ran by Islamists like Hamas. Can you think of any reason why Jews would object to that?

Sating the Israelis donât want to drive the Palestinians out of Palestine is like saying that Unionist governments in Northern Ireland didnât want Protestant, Unionist supremacy.
Again, you object to a one state federal solution for the simple reason you believe Palestinians are animals.

No, I object to a singe state solution for the same reason Jews object to a single state solution. Jews would not be safe in a ME state where they were the minority. Can you think of any reasons why they might think that? Maybe their history? the holocaust? the stated goal of Islamists like Hamas to kill all of them? the numerous efforts of their neighboring states to kill all of them?
Palestinians are not animals, they are human beings like the rest of us. They deserve their own state, and it should be funded by their rich Arab neighbors. But their rich Arab neighbors hate them, and prefer to see them live in poverty.
Contradictory.
Israel wonât give them their own state. They never will. Because theyâve steadily colonised it and would have to withdraw a million people. That isnât going to happen.
So a one state federal solution is the only remotely feasible one.
Israel has made it this way, and Israel alone.
A federal solution still involves a centralised government. Itâd never work
A single state wonât happen anytime soon because neither Jews nor Arabs living in Israel want it, at least currently, a (admittedly slight) majority of Jews and an even higher majority of Israeli Arabs support a two state solution. If their security were assured, as in a commitment to no attacks from the new Palestinian state, that Jewish majority rises significantly.
For a single state solution, it would take a new generation of leaders on both sides that are committed to human rights, secularism, and democracy. Hard to see that happening anytime soon.
So weâre left discussing a short list of possible solutions which are all impossible.

was it at Khan Younis in 2014 the 7 soldiers were snared and blown up- once they go in there they cant get out of the place.
i think i posted on a monday in july in 2014 about one of the most messed up things i ever experienced-
IAF had planned to carpet bomb the northern area of gaza and had been going on about it for a bit- anyway, we were in work and out for a coffee /smoke around 3 and all you could here was like a thunder storm in this distance, a rumbling boom continually, <40km from where we were talking about transconductance or some nonsense was been levelled⌠i actually think that really messed me up for a while afterwards- i can never get it out of my head still - i cant stop thinking about it now
like we were all behaving like it was normal, the sirens every day and everyome just worked around it, big brother was even on tv at the time- i remember my sister came over to see the baby and she thought we were all absolutely fucked up

these guys used to be handing out fliers outside beitar games and used to organise a pretty decent level of football violence with La Famillia, you often see the big banners with K on them of kach in hebrew supporting Kahinsim at Tedi- when saknin or haifa were there it used to be mental actually- like really messed up shit- youâd be suprised how you can get sucked into as well- you are either one of the other in a situation like that - there is no middle ground and extremists are everywhere⌠the athmosphere for me can never ever be equalled - when saknin beat beitar at tedi in 2013 - ive never experienced anything like it and never will- the noise from the away end when Mohommed Ghadir scored, all sporting events are nothing to be honest for me- ill never ever get that rush again seeing him score, face east and kiss the groundm the noise from their end , silence all around me and then an explosion of hate, lads it was nuts
