Those waters at the top of the Red Sea seem to be a right hotspot for shark attacks over the last few years. Their numbers seem to be rebounding heavily after Moses put the tin hat on them for a couple of millennia. You’d think there would be more shark attacks in the Mediterranean but they seem almost unheard of.
Reunion off the coast of Africa might be the most shark infested waters in the world. They believe its because of urbanisation along coastline but also it probably has most diverse coral reefs in the world.
That’s supposed to be an Instagram video of some lads feeding sharks off an oil rig but dunno has it loaded at all.
I’ve seen that lad, it’s a tiktok account. He has a load of videos up feeding the sharks/fishes all sorts of food.
Looks like calm empty water and suddenly there’s dozens of them.

Yeah I saw that and the amount of sharks being killed per annum for their fins is sickening. These backwards Asians believing that shark fin soup will give them an eternal erection or some such nonsense

Is it one side of the island only that’s infested or something like that? Recife in Brazil is very shark infested. I’m sure I read years ago that it was due to them building some new pier or something like that.
Shark attacks scare the bejaysus out of me. I was bullied into going swimming once off a beach near Valencia, It was the middle of March and the sea was freezing, but I was still shiting myself that I’d suddenly feel one of my legs being ripped off me. Same in Majorca. Swimming off Australia? Fucking no chance. I know we’re supposed to love all nature but I find sharks disgusting things altogether.
Wasn’t there some chap who used to feed sharks while standing in the shallows, he’d video himself doing it for the Discovery channel or whatever to show how they were no threat, then one of the sharks bites him on camera.
I still don’t get why there are so few shark attacks in the Mediterranean. Great white sharks were supposed to be native to the Mediterranean and they definitely exist there. Would you not get the odd shark migrating up from the Red Sea through the Suez Canal?
