Think he got a job lecturing in some university in the US.
Very strange one. Whats the possible explanation for it? Why would either your man Noel or the employee bother telling fibs about it?
I’d say he got done over and flew home to get treatment because he didn’t want to get the guards involved here. Probably illegal. Illegal Irish who got hurt in the States back in the 80s would do the same.
