A thread to post your sandwiches/rolls/pittas/wraps, blaas and spuds. Plenty of red sauce on the burger?

The young lad bought this in Dunnes. I couldn’t rightly eat it.

€4.99 he must know somebody behind the counter.

Yer man in the Busy Bee on the Ennis Road was selling them over the last week.

Very decent helping of ham they’ve given you there.

That was at home

Tomato no.place in a toasted sandwich. Adds no flavour at that temp and only scalds the mouth

Now, dipping it into a tomato soup is a different beast altogether

I think tomato is essential in a toastie, as is the onion, a little bit of salt to bring out the flavours of the tomato.

I wouldn’t be a fan of tomato soup, usually it’s too sweet and it’s not something I’d make myself

Toasted cheese and tomato soup. Perfect combo. My missus makes an unreal tomato soup she got off some influencer. Lovely kick off it

Tomato is great in a toastie but imo should go in after cold.

All down to how you make the toastie… Oven grill, George foreman etc.

One member of my family toasts the bread and then heats the sambo in a microwave :person_shrugging:
