Did some rural gombeen say that aul lads in Tipperary will go spacko and wont vote for reunification because of a national anthem and a flag?

Most 26 county folk dont know the National Anthem. The might know most lines but would mumble a few others. Most defintely dont know the english words so dont understand whats being song.
Most wouldnt be able to name the signatories of the proclamation.

It reminds me of the time a poster here opened the door during a GE to a FF runner and after inquiring if he was a member of the ‘Republican Party’ and getting an enthusiastic response asked if he could name the signatories of the proclamation…straight away names, Pearse, Connolly, Plunkett before claiming his question has caught him off the hop. Okay says poster, what about the hunger strikers… this time not bothering to try answer just simply walked away saying, Im not getting any votes here anyway.

A song and a flag stopping reunification?

The only thing that will stop reunification is votes. The rural gombeen thinking SF are the bogey men and FF and FG are their saviours while their kids cant afford to rent, buy or live in Ireland but yet the papers tell us we are richer than ever before and should be happy.

The forum is ready for a Northern poster of Italian descent. Who is your favourite calcio team?

What does that have to do with this?

All of this is irrelevant.

Long term benefits sure.

But could you look at people north and south and say they won’t be paying more tax?
