I don’t. I want a 32 county Ireland. I’ve zero interest in god saved the queen being played before gaa games and the British flag flying above the dail buildings. If you want a united ireland the way to achieve it is through education. Bringing people together and learning to accept different ways is the key. Sinn Fein will create a huge divide. You’ve idiots on here thinking the middle class kids of today will drop the i phones and head for the Leitrim mountains to fight a mythical war with Hurley’s. Our best chance was if our economy prospered and Britain went into a recession but that won’t happen now. You’ll have the same result as when Scotland had their chance. The people of the north will want nothing to do with us.

Great result for democracy today, young and old have spoken,my first time voting for SF in years (since the GFA)but am absolutely delighted- at a GAA meeting in Carrigaline tonight - some v disappointed FF/ FG supporters , needless to say they got a big wake up call fuck em, SF will help turn around homelessness/ HSE etc - no quick fixes but at least they’ll get results

I am not FF, FG or anyone else, but an awful lot of cunts still voting in FF and FG after what’s happened to the country. Not sure if SF are the answer, but let’s see what they have now.

Was in the predicament of being genuine homeless 4 years ago. We went to the Regency hotel on a st Stephens night as our landlord was big hearted enough to let my family stay for xmas night. On the 3rd of january reported to park gate street to present as homeless. Within a week we were in a family hub high park on the grace park road. We worked with our key workers and within another week went to view a house in finglas and got the property. A certain mr eoin Murphy sent a request to myself partner and kids and was inquiring how we had such a quick turnaround,we declined the chance to meet him. Moral of the story you have scum in these places hanging on to dear life for a house next to mammy. We played ball with council and other departments and came out the other side with a house on the Southside. Albeit 3 years renting with hap and paying 500 a month towards the rent as we both work it was worth it. Country is full of people who think they are entitled to everything and this needs to change.

Sorry for the hard start you had boy, correct ref entitlement ie mammy up the road,too far from the kids school etc but there’s genuine ppl on the list also who need support from family,women who’s effing partners have legged it leaving them to bring up smallies on their own etc but your point stands , hopefully all will be housed and the councils etc investigate properly as to who’s genuine or not,my niece was in a similar situation as ye ,both working not passed for mortgage ,went into a sort of co ownership and delighted since,yet the one below them got it to be near mammy and neither her nor partner work and party on , strange world
