Abortion Referendum Thread

Iā€™d be a yes voter but I think TobƬn was quite good there. Harris was better but Robin was quite assured and calm in his responses.

There you go again. If I or just about every man I know were told by their partner that she was pregnant then they would absolutely care whether she wanted to have it aborted.

Jesus I canā€™t believe I had to type that sentence.

My statement is backed up by the evidence. 3,500 Irish women travel abroad every year for abortions. Where is your evidence that the men involved care about the abortion of their potential children?

You made the claim that men care, back it up or fuck up with your spoofing.

It isnā€™t enforceable you dolt as any Irish women who wants an abortion can get one.

How the fuck can he back that up with evidence you fucking fool. Do a poll of their partners as they get on the boat?

In Ireland?

Obviously you and the men you know are in caring relationships, thatā€™s not the group of people Iā€™m talking about however. How many of the 3,500 women who travel abroad for abortions are in caring relationships do you think?

So he pulled it out of his arse then?

Nobody is thick enough to ask that question in a survey as its complete common sense. The man may agree with the abortion or they may disagree with it or they may not fully know what they think but they will have some kind of opinion about the decision made

You said most men. Where is your evidence for this?

Unpleasant internal polling.

What the fuck difference does it make where the abortion is carried out? You seem particularly dimwitted on this question.

Pulled what out of his arse? Here listen good night, canā€™t believe I engaged with you on this.

Thats a very sweeping statement saying men dont care. I know I would care. Of those 3500 women that went to england for abortions how many men were left back at home just having to shut and put up.

Most men involved in unwanted pregnancies, which is the primary reason for abortion.

Goodnight mate.

So if someone can do something in any jurisdiction in the world then outlawing that is unenforceable in any other country in the world? Thatā€™s beyond stupid.

Iā€™m just going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he simply canā€™t articulate what he means as what heā€™s saying is completely mental

No, outlawing early stage abortion is unenforceable. Stick to the topic.

This is a fundamental incorrect assumption. The yes side wouldnt necessarily be happy to see an abortion. They dont want it introduced for their happiness or entertainment. Its a basic medical right is the argument.

Il assume it was poor wording on your part and not a massive missing of the entire point of the whole campaign
