And they can have their say on Friday. Thats choice
Men can have their say on friday. If it is that important a point then men will carry the No vote.
Id agree that most men would feel involved in any decision if they impregnanted a woman. Many would feel more strongly than the woman it should be aborted ( cheaper cleaner guilt free option if you dont know the woman) many would respect their partners wishes and some would feel they should have as much right to decide what happens as the woman.
All can have their say on Friday.
That disagreed fundamentally with the decision? IMO that would be a very small number.
Does an unborn child not have a basic medical right to live?
The yes campaign have swerved the point or ignored it, by constantly referring to rape victims and hard cases and ignoring any talk of abortion on demand, as you have done here yet again.
Nothing to do with my point.
Focus on your use of word happy
So avoid the hard argument based on semantics. Replace happy with acceptable so if you have to.
Really poor form there from Rte not to give Maria Steen another night off from home schooling her 12 kids.
The Yes side view unborn babies as burdens, parasites and monsters who only deserve to live at their discretion.
Glad you agree your wording was very poor
So is your ability to debate like an adult
Im not debating I was correcting a very crude comment you made above where you said abortions make pro choice people happy. I am not trying to convince you or anyone to change their mind. I believe in choice. Your choice to vote how you wish
Youâve been arguing points with me for a while on this thread, in theory debating or trying to change my mind. The right to abortion would make pro choice people happy. Hopefully the rank hypocrisy of using a 12 year old rape victim as a debating point wonât rear its head here again. But, each to their own.
Thatâs a disgusting comment.
A rape victim doesnât have much discretion over whether they fall pregnant as a result.
What discretion does an aborted baby have?
Iv mentioned at least 10 times on this thread that people are welcome to vote as they wish. Im pro choice.
Correct. That is the wording you should have used earlier. There is a world of a difference.
No. Of course not. âBasic medical rightâ as you put it quite clearly means EQUAL right. And you canât have equal rights in this situation. Because itâs a situation of competing rights. You canât enshrine such a right without taking away womenâs human rights.
The Irish constitution already specifically enshrines the right to an abortion.
What happens to 12 year old rape victims is perhaps the key issue in the whole campaign.
Neither you nor any No campaigner has the slightest clue how to deal with the question, which is why it keeps being asked - and will continue to be asked until 10 pm on Friday.
Iâm sure they have other good reasons for killing unborn babies so.
You donât appreciate life.
All you want to do is allow people to make selfish choices and terminate the lives they have brought into being.
It is murder, it is wrong and there is no getting away from that.
