You believe a man should make financial contributions to a child because biologically he is the father. You believe that gives him responsibilities. It isnât just sociological, it is biological as you are tying his act of sexual intercourse and DNA to the child. Your biological argument therefore is null and void regarding abortion, unless you accept that men should be allowed to not have any responsibilities over a child.
If anybody here can honestly say that they would i) support making their daughter carry to term a foetus conceived as a result of a rape, or ii) carry to to term a foetus with a fatal foetal abnormality which may impact their daughterâs future quality of life, they can at least say theyâve thought the issue through, although if the answer in either case was yes, one could also make obvious implications about the type of person they are.
I think answering questions i) and ii) should be mandatory for all posters as regards further discussion.
