Abortion Referendum Thread

Christopher Hitchens in the early part of his career was pro-life. In the later part of his career when he started doing college speaking tours of America he switched to being pro-choice, it seemed to me to tell his atheist student supporters what he wanted to hear.

There was a period of my life also when I considered myself an atheist and anti-abortion. I was coming from a very Catholic background though. Now I’m neither of those things.

Mostly you’re right.

That doesn’t answer the question

Dress it up any way you want but you are for the murder of unborn babies.

I think it’s great that Ireland will finally join enlightened countries like Italy in recognising a woman’s right to choose whether to continue with a pregnancy or not.

The moral of this story is: be like Italy.

People should not be having sex if they aren’t prepared to face the consequences.

Why do you believe what men in dresses have told you?

That’s not answering the question

There’s nothing wrong with men wearing dresses, mate.

I believe it because its true and no bullshit you spin can justify denying the right of children to live.

Then why do you celebrate an incident where the IRA blew up a boat and killed some children?

I didn’t.

No, because in the country I live in abortion is legal. It also is in Ireland by the way, so you’re still talking rubbish.

And the country you live in is a basket case.

Not compared to the shithole you emerged from.

It’s why he’ll never have any credibility on this, everything he stands for have disgusting track records in the treatment of children and mothers

You can believe what you like, even if it’s bullshit.

That’s the difference between me and you. I don’t believe in bullshit

I really don’t care how you dress, mate.

Do you believe taking the morning after pill is murder?

Correct. You just post it.
