Abortion - Yay or Nay? Labane and Sid talk American politics, Codegreen ponders on the cost

Yep. I believe whatever way I would vote would be hypocritical to myself, if that makes any sense?

I would be largely anti-abortion but it’s not for me to decide what is acceptable for another individual who will find themselves in circumstances that I never will.

If I vote against repeal I’m denying people the right to decide for themselves.

If I vote in favour I’m denying my own instincts.

If that’s a cop-out, so be it.

The Iona Institute will be sending one of its representatives onto Prime Time shortly. After the piece on stolen tools. How does an unelected private organisation get so much air time?

Not just rape mate, but a whole host of tough situations other than a one night stand… What’s bizarre about that?

How is killing a fully formed human days, hell hours before its born different from killing it minutes later.

Did joe player prick one of your johnnies in mary I pal? Certainly a tough situation and an unforeseen event

They must have the same publicist as Alan Hunter, “President” of the “Irish Football Supporters Association”.

This Iona institute lady is a fine thing.

i would like to commend @Locke here, he is a most honest poster and has his viewpoints, for this he is been accused by all comers as been a bigot and that is very wrong.
im torn between thinking i need to choose between @Locke and then this yoke on the news tonight screaming to all and sundry about her “reproductive rights”… the cut of her- big round face, glasses, a checked shirt, hair colored purple or something , you could tell her raggy jeans were covering some big fat pill inflated arse but by god she wants abortions and she wants them right now , i wonder does she look at a kid with a disability and think well in my world you wouldnt be here before she heads off drop her knickers at the first sign of a fella who has a few pints in him…
is this where we are lads?

I’d be interested in a breakdown of abortion stats just to see what the main reasons given are if there is such a thing. Your comment piqued my curiousity is all.

170,000 irish babies murdered over in the UK last year

They want the right to murder them at home

does “reproductive rights” mean that you have the right to murder an unborn child because you want to?
it cant be as simple as that,or is it?

there has to be a limit ,
lets say tho a poster on here heads out and rapes a woman tonight- she gets pregnant and wants an abortion because she was raped- ok it could be 2 years before a court decides she was raped, it’ll be too late then for an abortion, what do we do? shoot the child?
well?
she didnt want him right?

We don’t know half the reasons, mate… We don’t even know half the women travelling, that’s the problem. I just find it bizarre that some people think it’s merely single loose women having abortions… The stats show that over 70% of those Known that travel are in relationships or married… I wonder how that changes @locke little narrative

I wonder how that goes?

“Now before we get the hoover out do you have a few minutes to fill in a survey?”

To be fair, I’d fully expect somebody who looks like a foetus to be against abortion.

And yet you’re for it. Go figure!

Sure post up my picture there again and we can see who’s right.

You honestly think that was me ?

Did I say it was you?
