You seem to be over estimating a bit how rich she is. I don’t think you’d be living a decadent lifestyle on one salary of 100k and two kids to support. Would she hand you 100 quid a week or whatever to pay maintenance on your 1st kid?

She’ll be on closer to 150k, hopefully, and no, it won’t be decadent, but I don’t need decadent. I’m a man of simple pleasures. I’d hope to do some kind of part-time menial job to earn enough to pay my child support, but if my lady did get pregnant and we were going ahead with this I’d probably try and save up a year’s worth of support payments, if I could. She says she’d have no problem funding me anyway though.

Sounds like a great opportunity to be down with wee Thraw. But the above doesn’t sound wholly convincing. I’ve a few years done on off with a great girl who’s about 95% perfect but it hasn’t worked out right. It’s a depressing thought that there isn’t something better out there. Is “pretty much” enough? Aside from the obvious sweeeteners.

Yeah, you make a good case, Dan. I’d like to point out though that she has said that having a kid is not a deal-breaker. Obviously I don’t get to quit work in that situation, mind.
