He wasn’t going to be happy until he got to say his pre-rehearsed piece

Cobh have scored in the first minute of their play off second leg against Drogheda. They trail 2-1 on aggregate now.

Cobh lead 2-0 at HT at United Park, they’ve levelled it on aggregate.

Some going, 2 goals in 9 minutes. Pressure on Drogheda now.

Gareth McCaffrey has scored for Drogs, 1-2. 67 mins gone, Cobh doing all the pressing now.

Sounds a great tie .

It’s full time at United Park and Drogheda have held on. They now face Wexford Youths in a play off to decide who will play in the premier division next season.

Who your money on ???

I think it’s a very tough one to call. Drogheda have plenty of guys with premier experience in their side and will certainly fancy their chances. Wexford have had a dreadful result tonight against Sligo but had a couple of decent ones before that.

The first leg is at Ferrycarrig park on Halloween at 7:45.

just in
we should have won it
but in hindsight we are too young to go up, its a bunch of lads <23 really
drogheda are a big ugly side, sean thornton who the sky heads will know from his time at doncaster is their main man, classic first division team, big , ugly , physical
cobh are a miles better side but physically small, pity now the team will break up, a few will sign pro at cork and the rest will go about their business,
hope hendo stays, he has too many roots down there anyway
drogheada/wex impossible to call

the 4 month break really is crazy

Scoreless at half time in Ferrycarrig Park in the promotion/relegation play-off first leg between Wexford and Drogheda.

Fuuuuuurrrrrrlllllllloooooonnnnnngggggggg

Thornton is a very talented player tbf to him; scored a great free-kick for Sunderland against Chelsea when he first broke on the scene. Was one of those players who did seem to have a very bright future but pissed all away, at every level he was at… but he has pulled out a good few goals for Drogheda at the tail end of his “career”.

Cobh are probably a better footballing side alright but you need to be tough too. I’d love to take Shane O’Connor back at Limerick, think he’s a fine player.

Chhhhhiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnn

Ooooft, a huge goal in the 90th minute for Wexford. Massive advantage heading to United Park now.

Wexford 2-0 Drogheda. FT.

Chin is apparently going to the GAA All Stars awards on Friday night so will be unavailable for the second leg.

Shane Keegan set to leave Wexford Youths for Galway:

Could this story not have been kept under wraps until Wexford’s top flight status was preserved?

Getting nervous now. I’m expecting all sorts of bandwagoners who never go to Youths’ games to be at United Park tonight.

Wexford have the padding of the second goal . Should be ok. Limerick has just one last year v Finn Harps and so it came to pass.

Game on now at United Park !!!
