Airtricity League 2016

If only Wexford’s most prominent horse trainer, Colm Murphy, had the backing of a rich benefactor or two then his stable mightn’t have closed down.

Horgan and Boyle both gone to Preston.

Bray looking for 100k for Dylan Connolly
they’re up to something serious at Bray, interesting to see what squad they are assembling
they also want to leave the Carlisle grounds i see,
brilliant coach there as well with superb form at end of last season
worth an outside ew punt now for the title next year at huge odds

Denis O’Brien is putting money into them

meant to be a land grab but surely its not worth his time getting land in Bray?

defo worth a bet

Did Dundalk receive any fees for these two or were they both out of contract?

Nada being reported.

Please clarify whether you meant:
i) No fee is being reported
or
ii) The fee is being reported as nothing

Dundalk will receive nada.

I saw something on twitter recently that Bray’s annual wage bill last year has something like 10 times the amount that they took in with gate receipts for the whole season. The ratio is supposed to get bigger for 2017 (unless they suddenly start attracting 5,000 people instead of 500 every week).
I always got the impression that Bray was a badly run club?
I’d have known a few football heads down that way and it seems quite alot of locals have no time for the club.

Do the financial fair play rules not apply to LOI?

ill field this one Phil

I have no idea

And they’re the best run club in the League of Ireland. Easy to see why the league is so successful as a whole.

700k for Horgan

i see dundalk signed Sean Hoare to replace Boyle
with that and their pursuit of Connolly it seems they are trying to hoover up the leagues players, easy given every single player went out of contract on october 31 and has now no guaranteed income

decent piece here

sean maguire signed again for Cork i see

also Bray signed Gary Macabe from SRFC and Aaron Grene from Limerick

Are you working for extratime.ie by any chance? That’s the second link in a few hours.

no
they only apply when clubs are successful and come on the radar
Zenit got royally fucked last year with Gasprom

dundalk, BK1903 Copenhagen, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Beer Sheva, Croatia Zagreb, Basle, Ludogorets, dont really get done for this
Bnei saknin the arab team in israel get millions from Qatar but they just spend it all on bombs and shit

there is just a huge amount of LOI based stuff over there
the issue on players 8 month contracts is a pretty damning reflection of the league really
the David Macmillan story for example is a wonderful but sad example…

Its being reported as no fee, what gives?

where was it reported as no fee?

None of the news articles mentioned any fee, other than that they were out of contract, and balls.ie (I know), said
