Why would they put him in a Crumlin jersey for a photo of league of Ireland clubs?
I was thinking they might have been smart enough to include not just LOI clubs but some of the schoolboy clubs where the players started too
I think they were aiming at putting across the message that the LOI is a good starting ground for future International players who dont get picked up by the English academy system as teenagers buddy.
Oh I know that, and its a great idea. But given the squad is 23 players and they only have 8 of them above I thought that they could have found a creative way to showcase the domestic leagues, both senior and underage.
May have diluted the message somewhat. That constitutes a third of the squad having begun their adult footballing careers in the LOI. Its a pretty good point to make.
