Expectations frequently exceed realisations. Hope however, springs eternal and all that.
A win by only 8 points will be ok. Leinster hurling counties will do will to get within 8 points of Limerick.
Okay the headline is sort of putting words in Paudies mouth but the message is out Limerick don’t fear Kilkenny.
TJ needs to get cute now and have the lads prepared for the likely match Cooy will go with in our. HB Line. TJ Reid and walter watch will be on our wing backs. Huge match for them them 2 KK lads will be v physical but if its not goin well i hope changes are made after 20 mins. TJ will also need to do his match ups and put downes in on JJ, would test JJ for pace big time. Will be intersting to see if he starts Hannon on Hogan but I’d say Dodge wud be a safer bet there for early part of the game. Bought my ticket today prob wont be thinkin of anything else til next Sunday. Luimneach ABU
Don’t forget to shower, you filthy animal.

Fuck all use then if the score is 5-09 to 0-06 in favour of Kilkenny… Just sayin’ like. Of course if the scoreline outlined is favouring Limerick, I’d start emptying the bench if I were TJ…
Very true. but just dnt think TJ will change the team and i hope we arent too far behind when he does go to bench. hopefully though wont be need it and those lads step it up in that line.
Would you not leave Shane Dowling full forward after his impressive recent displays, pal? Can see why you’d want Downes more involved but not at the expense of disrupting Dowling…
Lads were on with the same about Hickey before the Wexford game. Talking about moving him off out the field to make up for issues elsewhere.
I’d be of the opinion if a lad is doing well in his position don’t move him just because someone else isn’t going well.
I wouldn’t move Dowling from full-forward, best man to have close to goals at the minute. I think Downes is the kind of player who could make Paul Murphy’s afternoon difficult. Tom Ryan instead of GO’M would be the obvious switch to make if Dodge is fit, if not TJ will probably start the same 15 as against Wexford. Hannon was good at centre-forward on Sunday but Brian Hogan will be a different kettle of fish.
Stick a sizeable lad on Walter Walsh and he is usually kept very quiet.
We haven’t one, not one likely to play on the wing anyway. That’s the problem.
I would leave Hannon at 11 too.
There’s no need for that kind of talk around here.
Richie Hogan and Tj Reid, without wanting to state the obvious but I will anyway are Limerick’s biggest threat. If we can negate them and stick with the fuckers unlike 2012 were we where destroyed in a 10 minute spell after half time we’ve a great chance. KK will always be easier to beat in the semi rather then the final, and regardless of the lip service out of them coming up to the game, they will expect to beat Limerick handy.
They are a team on the way down and it would be a massive statement of intent for Limerick to kick on and knock them out in Croke Park.
I expect limerick to beat them tbh

The incredible weakness of Leinster hurling means that Kilkenny win 1 game against half decent opposition and get into an All Ireland final.
The system is very skewed in the favour of the half decent team in Leinster. Leinster champions should not be put directly into the Semi Final of the All Ireland series.
How anyone would fear Walter Walsh is beyond me. He isn’t up to the standard IMO.
