Cody says Michael Fennelly and Richie Power are fit and available for selection. Presumably they won’t start due to lack of hurling. Fennelly is the one kk player I find most threatening. I reckon Reid and Walsh will do damage on the wings but with Fennelly tearing up midfield or centre forward as well we’d be goosed. I think this will go down to how our midfield and half forwards get on. We’ll be in trouble in the half back line and we can’t expect our full forward line to dominate against that kk full back line -but we have the potential to win the battles at midfield and half forward.

Limerick lads are starting to sound rattled
If we can make it until 5:30 this evening we should be ok. Lads can take a few hours off from the internet over the long weekend and come back refreshed on Tuesday.

This is a huge boost for KK. Fennelly is a great player. I read somewhere that he’s been going well in training so it would be no surprise if Cody started him. He could conceivably play any position from 8-15.

Great to see how low key we are taking it compared to last year.
Good point mate. We are managing our expectations much better this year. In reality, it’s unlikely that we will beat Kilkenny by as much as we expected to beat Clare last year, maybe it’ll be only 3 to 8 points. After that it’s difficult to see anyone out there to stop us doing the three in a row.
