He was following his coaches instructions, played a few lovely 70 yard passes wide to Coman, set up Martial for the late chance.

A real top player would have taken hold of that game tonight, he did fuck all. The RTE chaps are right, he’s not a midfielder, he doesn’t control games. He’s a good player but not a top player.

Pogba had more touches than any other player tonight, he was very visibly getting frustrated at Griezmann who didn’t show for the ball at all tonight. I think he was deployed incorrectly by Deschamps but he did his job well.

France dominated the midfield sector.
They were wasteful up front with Gignac, Martial, Giroud and Griezmann all missing glorious chances and Koscielny defending like a girl for the goal.
Midfield was the only area they were assured in tonight and Pogba was the main reason why.
