All Ireland Final 2’19 - Kilkenny v Tipperary, a Traditional Final

Joe Connolly was brilliant. He was quite emotional admitting to having had a very difficult year, suffering with a serious illness and had also lost his brother. He said it had got him thinking about hurling and it’s place in his life and he had come to the conclusion that “it was more fucking important than ever”. Good man Joe

In have no more interest in this match than I do a soccer game. I’m fucking disgusted, demoralised and completely disinterested in this years final since we were slingdogged out of it by those sneaky dirty kk bastards. Who gives a fuck about hurling?, not fucking me I’ll tell you. Absolutely fucking disgusted!

August is a month for going on holidays. My missus nearly went and booked the holidays for mid August but did take the precaution of asking me about dates at the last second before booking flights. As it is, I might not even bother going on Sunday.

I’ve decided not to bother myself… Not major draw to this

I’ll decide on Sunday morning if I’ll go. I haven’t even get one call asking about spare tickets, which has never happened before. I’ve never known such indifference and apathy before a hurling final. A 6th final meeting in a decade will do that, but it doesn’t sit well with traditionalists either the clash between the first side to lose twice and make a final and a side who were hammered in the Munster Final by 12 points.

It is because of the Galway choke that Kilkenny made it this far

I’m not going on Sunday either.

Kilkenny couldn’t even bate Wexford in two championship meetings and four meetings overall this season.

Tipp were destroyed in the Munster Final by a Limerick side more focused on luxury foreign breaks.

It’s a shambles of a final and €90 for the privilege too.

The Galway choke in Parnell Park or the Galway choke in Nowlan Park where they allowed a 7-8 point lead with a few minutes to go get whittled down to a 1 point win?

Combination of Galway choke, Cork gutlessness and Limerick arrogance. We’re the luckiest All Ireland finalists in history.

What’s the Sky Sports Super Sunday line up? Alternative sporting options on tv and weather forecast will be determinative factors as to whether I go.

I haven’t checked that. I’ll definitely watch the hurling as it’s the showpiece occasion, but I’m coming around to the view that it’s tainted by the new format. The last time I didn’t bother to watch or attend an All Ireland Final was Kilkenny-Limerick in 2007.

Such class…

After much deliberation I’ve decided to attend this game. Fancy tipp by 7 or 8 but it’s hard to stomach when every hurling person I meet tells me limerick left the all Ireland behind them. It’s sickening.

There is no sympathy in this game .

Limerick lost 3 of their 6 matches. Of the 3 they won, they beat a Waterford side who’d downed tools and a Clare side who may have downed tools as well. Limerick team or fans have no need to reproach themselves. Limerick just weren’t very good this year.

Whilst you may in some part be taking the piss and fishing for a few handy likes, I’m at a similar state. If Kilkenny win, I’ll be sickened. Having beaten them in both the minor and senior leinster finals, for them to now be in both AI finals is a kick in the nuts. Its as much our own failings, we fucked it up against Tipp. Not near good enough in the minor and the end of that game left a sour taste too, so just sickened all round. I’d be on the verge of seething I must say if they win the double on Sunday. The fucking cunts. Fuck you @fran. Its a bad enough sign to be hoping Tipperary will win. That says enough. @balbec had the right idea, both of them need to lose.
