This final features the most interesting and exciting backstory for many years, and that is the glorious return of Kilkenny and Brian Cody after many years out of the limelight
Yet it’s very easy to get tickets
Reason number one for that is the inherent lack of popularity of hurling in Ireland
But reason number two is that it is in August
This new “condensed season” is some fuck up
The All-Ireland hurling final should be on the first Sunday of September
In my own club demand was twice our allocation. Some very disappointed members receiving only 1 (one) stand ticket when 2 (two) were ordered.
Last year there was a massive demand for hurling final . It was played in August .
