All-Ireland Football Championship 2022

They’ll be ate like they were by mayo last year.

The following teams are all ahead of Dublin in the pecking order, in order:
1 Kerry
2 Mayo
3 Tyrone
4 Donegal
5 Galway
6 Monaghan
7 Armagh
Possibly 8 Kildare and 9 Derry

You could make a reasonable argument for Dublin being maybe fifth, I wouldn’t agree with it, but you could make the argument. If you believe matches are won on paper. They aren’t.

Comerford
Fitzsimons
Byrne
Cooper
Murchan
Small
McDaid
Fenton
McCarthy
Howard
Kilkenny
Scully
Costello
O’Callaghan
Rock

Paddy Small, Bugler, Lee Gannon, Lahiff and all those Basquel’s on the bench then.

Sort of reminiscent of Kilkenny 2014 in terms of strength. But it has less youth. And Brian Cody was managing Kilkenny.

To say Galway and Armagh are better than Dublin at full strength is laughable.

Dublin won’t be at full strength. Two of Dublin’s best four players don’t bother with inter-county football any more.

Much of the rest of the team is a heritage act.

You still think it’s 2017.

Mannion is not and never was one of Dublins best 4 players

That defence won’t hold anyone decent to a reasonable score. Fitzsimons is in theory their lockdown defender and has been savaged their last two games. He’ll probably retire after this year’s championship.

Another humdinger from Philly in the Indo this morning if someone would be so kind as to copy and paste.

Can we get these posted up every week … the man is a breath of fresh air and great to get some insight into the mentality of an 8th time all Ireland winner …

Ye mustn’t have left it at that if he went on to name their strongest starting 15😂 A lovely insight nonetheless. Would this Dublin player be a Hall of Famer himself? I fancy Kerry to win it out but I’d definitely still have Dublin in the top 4. There’s still lingering doubts around Galway and Donegal’s management so once again the winner comes from Kerry/Dublin/Mayo/Tyrone.

Ah that’s brilliant

The Dublin Senior Football panel are keeping a very close eye on their All-Ireland odds it seems. Jim would never have allowed them to fixate on such an uncontrollable.

Gambling is a nawful affliction

The only book they need to concern themselves with is the Blue Book.

Another heritage trip to Belgium?

Less than an hour until we are under way.

Leinster - Dublin
Munster - Kerry
Connacht - Mayo
Ulster - Tyrone
All Ireland - Mayo

The near side of the pitch looks like a cabbage patch.

Fermanagh giving Tyrone plenty of it here

Tyrone have been dreadful so far.
