Con seems like a nice lad but I thought Kilkenny was motm
Some operator.
I think there were 4 or 5 Dublin lads who could have got it ahead of him
Pity he never hurled at IC level
At least we wonât have a repeat of Kilkennyâs roar that itâs time to party like in last years post match interview. The couple of wides in the 1st half probably cost Kilkenny. Fenton was very good too.
The Dubs will do this to hurling soon lads
Did him at 4s and Kilkenny at 20s at halftime. Con lucky on his second half to get it Iâd agree
COC played but never seems to step up for Mayo when the chips are down. AOS was a digrace today, not giving the handy lay off to ROD to set him in on goal was the definition of a mĂŠ feiner. Conceding a stupid free too to stamp the game for Dublin. He tried his best maybe but not for Mayo, for AOS
If some of their footballers, a la Ciaran KK, were forced, or convinced, to play IC hurling, it would be great for both sports in fairness.
Not sure, heâs always been a player with little footballing ability. Heâs just an absolute beast of a man.
They wonât. Not even close.
Fenton has to feature in any discussion of the best players of all time.
If Kilkenny or Costello decided to switch over to hurling exclusively next year they wouldnât make the Dublin hurling match day squad unless it was picked on reputation. Both were excellent underage players but both are a good bit off it in terms of hurling now. Have seen both a good bit at club level at senior B in Dublin and neither stand out aside from Kilkennyâs strong running.
Surely Cormac Costello should give hurling a rattle at this stage.
He was the best of those lads at minor level by a mile
I remember thinking that a few years ago but itâs a definite now.Hes a Rolls Royce player and McCarthy is a perfect partner at MF
