I think his point about people talking and thinking Mayo up to having a chance is a good one. You see it a lot with big fights. A long buildup allows people to convince themselves the underdog could win and they part with money (aided by clever hype-packages).

I personally don’t give Mayo a prayer here.

The GAA and the media have a vested interest in talking this game up, and sure, a sucker can have a chance in any contest.

But Dublin are odds on to steamroll them and most likely will. Its merely the nature of how the steamrolling comes that is up for debate.

Mayo went into last years All-Ireland semi-final only a few weeks after a 10 point defeat against Kerry in Tralee. The writing was on the wall. I feel after another year of integration of fresh blood under James Horan that they have a much better chance to test Dublin. COC is like a new signing compared to the last couple of seasons.
