he’s making his living off commenting on games. He is entitled to criticism for such a stupid comment
its very weird that Clifford is considered the Goat
2/3 shit performances in all ireland final
an over reliance on the mark
in the fullness of time he might be but if he gets injured next season & is finished whats he achieved
Rogers
Collector’s item - I agree with you apart from the spelling mistake.
People are entitled to say what they want but they shouldn’t then complain about pundits not having opinions if they want to shout them down with over-emotional bollocks just for having an opinion.
The reaction to Flynn’s tweet demonstrates one of the main reasons pundits are bland these days - you get piled on for speaking the truth.
@peddlerscross is delighted Dublin won and he’s from Tipp. I’m sensing that @Bandage was quite pleased too although he’s thinking the long-game as a major stakeholder in the Raheny underage picture.
Both David Clifford and Tony Kelly are dispensers of joy. They do it for their clubs and their counties. Both seem to come in for rather bizarre criticism. They seem to be held to different standards than everyone else.
Over reliance on the mark
so we had kerry fans on Saturday asking why Man city dont swoop for Clifford, now they are up in arms that people said he didnt play well, what oddballs
You’ve a bit of a knack for this GGA punditry, it’s great to see
its not like its pro sports mate, it isnt that hard
When you’re a higher standard of player you’re held to a higher standard.
Footballer of the year is simply the best player all year. Despite Clifford not hitting the heights of the final, as DOS said on OTB, his performance is a good performance for a normal player. He’s the best player this year, he is FOTY. End of story.
James Mac would be a laughable shout. Clifford was better than him on Sunday
A bit bizarre, shur there’s hardly a soccerball player in the country good enough for epl, nevermind the gaa sodbusters
agreed - maybe that new rovers wonderkid
Over reliance on the mark and molly-coddling referees
I was delighted Dublin won. For my children, for their club, for their club mates, for the kids & volunteers sporting their Dublin colours at Junior Parkrun on Sunday morning, for my neighbours, for the coaches giving their all to keep kids at it despite a significantly smaller budget per head of population than most counties & a myriad of distractions in the capital (cc @binkybarnes, @Spidey, @Juhniallio), for Roy Curtis. Generally, I’d always support a sophisticated & urbane eastern seaboard side against a team from the other side of the country. Have you heard those people talk? I wouldn’t have anything in common with them.
The FOTY is judged from the QF onwards, before that is really mickey mouse stuff. Clifford had one game worthy of FOTY, the performance vs Derry is the best anyone gave this year. Tyrone and Dublin he was not great, he was the main reason Kerry lost Sunday as he missed the chances to win it. No one is denying he’s by far the best forward in the country, that doesn’t mean he’s FOTY. McCarthy is going to win it but I would give it to Brian Fenton
It’s footballer of the year, not footballer of the QF on
Clifford had a chance at the end that id put over 9 times out of 10 no bother
when he got the ball, he realized he couldn’t call a mark, paniced and scuffed it, but missing that sitter cost them the all Oireland
Steady on, pal. It’s not nice to stick the boot in on a fellow Celtic supporter.
Gavin White getting caught soloing by his own goals cost Kerry the all ireland. They were comfortable enough up to then
You can’t beat a false narrative though
