I know where you are coming from. Hethertons finns and Ryan’s are a few lads that come to mind.
Redser a fine hurler murty and diarmuid ryan solid folks.
In fact the whole catchment area of dublin 5 including casino park, suffered.
I tell you what the craobh let some serious talent fall by the wayside
craobh and o 'tooles great that way over the years. small panels most of whom play both codes
They also kept some absolute timebombs togged out year in year out
Hedgo is still togging out
Hedgo is still togging out
He’s an awful cunt. I’ve a hole in my shin to prove it.
Last few minutes of Offaly Antrim 1989 on view here on eir. Some great conditioning all round.

Ciaran Barr was magnificent there. He drove poor old Eugene Coughlan to distraction.
Only caught the end of it too. What a day that was. Was thinking the same about Barr on Coughlan. Barr set up the last 2 goals. The Offaly management must have never seen it as a mismatch.
Had Barr moved to Dublin already at that stage?
And was it not Ger Coughlan? Was Eugene not the full back?
Had Barr moved to Dublin already at that stage?
No. That was later.
He got married the day before the final and moved to Dublin year after. Played for Rossa in 1990 County final but I think he was with Vincent’s from 1991.
Lads would I be correct in saying that a transfer from o tooles to st Vincent’s sort of of fecked eamonn fennell career inter county wise with dublin ?
Did you play agin him Fagan?

Going from fat to obese did a lot more to harm it.
…hese clubs on to a greater level. However as populated as dublin is these clubs cannot attract the players.Clubs like raheny and clontarf have made the right decisions are now benefiting with county senior footballers.I use to referee underage games and beleive me they have kicked on from 20 years ago
I take the attracting players point but very hard for some clubs in the Northside like these to get bigger juvenile numbers given the number of primary schools that feed into them. OTooles are effectively being fed from 1 school so are doing pretty well off that.
O tooles are from sheriff street dublin 1. They are named after st Laurence o toole. They are served by members of dublin 13 and 17 respectively.
O tooles feeder school is st Joseph’s cbs right next to Fairview park Dublin 3.
Also as stated previously I refereed about 20 years ago and the biggest number back then was vinnies followed second by clontarf and Whitehall third.
Back then Celtic tiger eire your stock was greatly advanced by playing for one of the affluent suburbs rather than a renowned club.
Since then clontarf has one senior footballer jack mc Caffrey.
