Agreed. Galway got away with murder… Point in being when Peter Casey was hacked down going in on goal and nothing given and Galway went up the field and scored.
Kyle Hayes with a text book catch over Joe and Canning threw himself on the ground with embarrassment and wins a free.
It was a cowardly ref performance that kept Galway in it.
Galway never lost a match where they weren’t blackguarded according to this lad.

What are you on about? Galway have lost loads of games to better teams. 2018 to a very limited limerick (as always) wasn’t one of them

There was an article on the game in de Examiner yesterday. Despite it being a sunny day there was actually a strong enough wind blowing. In the 2nd half Cork pulled out their half-forwards towards midfield and the Galway half-back line (who had been dominating the game) followed them. This left acres of space in front of the Galway full-back line and Cunningham used his big puck out and the wind to land his puck outs into the big empty space in front of the Galway full-back line. It caused carnage.
The short puck out just wasn’t a thing back then so if the Galway half-back line just held their position the whole complexion of the game might have been different. Not Cyril’s finest hour in retrospect.
