This game was a decent 1st half where an ageing average Kerry team got 3 first half goals to keep it competitive . Kerry were more or less gassed after 30 minutes

Cyril had a bad day v Cork in the 1986 final too tactically. played a 2 man full forward line, pucked ball into the spare man Johnny Crowley all day long who was worn out from clearing ball and scooped the man of the match award.
now the 2 man full forward line worked a treat for them in the semi in fairness
Although all time greats tomas and Marc o se and Cooper lost some amount of big crunch games to the other two top teams of the last 20 years.
