All Ireland Hurling Championship 2014
Cork to win by 8.

Cadogan to be man of the match
:rolleyes::clap:

Replay seemingly down for Sunday June 8th in Thurles, with no live TV coverage. The GAA really don’t help themselves when it comes to promotion.

Two weeks?? Time for Sky to flex their muscle here.

Davy will be delighted if the replay is June 8th, the winners will be playing Clare a week later.

Replay should be next weekend.

Yeah, doesn’t make sense…Waterford will have a good few lads back in two weeks tho?

:stuck_out_tongue: Waterford+5pts and the hurling betting is off to a flyer!!

Does the weakness of Corks display today confirm that last years was the softest all Ireland in many years?

1B hurling, we will know all about it next week…

Hate to say it but I think they lost their chance today. I’m gutted for them, huge performance but those wides in the first half killed them. Should have been about 10 points up at half time. Cork didn’t play well but still scored 1-21. Can’t imagine they’ll be as sluggish the next day.

In saying that Waterford are, to quote Cody, “going to be a serious team” in the next few years. A rake of quality young players coming through. Stephen Bennett alone would be a great addition. Stephen Molumphy would have chipped in with a few scores today too, no doubt. The forward subs didn’t make a great impact.

They’ll win an AI within the next five years I reckon.

Will be written off again for the replay but they’ve every chance, especially if they get one or two players back.

Unless someone leaves them a million or two to invest in teams they won’t.

Waterford’s lack of staying power is a huge problem, and if they win any silverware while they have that issue it will be a surprise. Unlike last year when Clare just steamrolled them in the final quarter, they didn’t need much to get them over the line today. But their forwards delivered practically nothing going down the stretch. Huge talent there, but they lack the depth to compensate for their fitness levels as things stand. With a full deck to play with you never know what they might be capable of.

Cork are staying in games because they have three and possibly now four excellent forwards, and as a team they use the ball well when the opposition gives them the breathing space to do so. Efficiency counts for a lot. Don’t know if Cork can win an All Ireland with that backline but they’ll be a difficult side to put away with those forwards.

It may just improve the attendance though, what better promotion could you get?

Can the mods please ban @glasagusban from all GAA related threads for continually asking stupid questions?

Agreed. The answer to his question is obviously yes. There was no need to ask it

Goes to show what a soft all Ireland clare won last year

What today’s match really highlights is how soft last year’s All Ireland was.

I’d rather win a soft All-Ireland than lose two of the softest All-Irelands ever. Fuck, that must be embarrassing, losing to an outfit like Wexford.

:D:clap:
