All Ireland Hurling Championship 2017

I never overrate Limerick, pal. I’ve been reared to prepare for disappointment.

However, I confidently predict that Limerick MIGHT beat Clare.

Have you ever read the Limerick GAA thread?

Limerick have a chance of beating Clare

Do you take what’s said seriously?

I’ve occasionally glanced at it. I am not my brother’s keeper.

As serious as the heart attack one of its most frequent posters isn’t far away from.

You just don’t get it, fella.

I’d say honestly it’s
Galway/Waterford/Tipp
Kk
Wx
Dubs
Lk
Klare
Kark
The rest.
I think Galway will be hard beat this year. I have a strong feeling they have every chance.
Now I’m off to wash my mouth out with soap.

Why on earth would you put Limerick ahead of Clare?

And please dont type klare or kark, you’re not @Mairegangaire, or are you?

Tipp -only cause they’re current champions
Galway -will win
Waterford -best of the rest
Kilkenny -clinging on
Clare -a lot of quality players
Wexford -better organised than the next three
Cork -at least they’re in division 1
Dublin -so many players opted out they practically have a strike
Limerick -have done nattin to be rated ahead of anyone

OK
I have a feeling that limerick are due.

You’ll win nothing with townie cunts.

You’re really from East Galway.

Arent we all

You’re also right about clare. I’d put them above Dublin on reflection.

It’s hard to know with Clare this year. The Cork game aside the league was very productive and they performed well for the most part and at times played some patches of excellent hurling despite the injuries and unavailability of the Ballyea lads. I still think the balance of the team isn’t quite right and we are missing a bit of power from 8 to 12 to really live with the top teams. A Munster final appearance and an All Ireland Semi final would be a very solid year given it is managements first year at the helm and that they are trying to implement a style and structure to the squad far different to the previous regime.

Oisin O’Brien returning in June is a big plus as is the emergence of the likes of Shanagher, McCarthy and Ian Galvin over the league, I would expect the Clare team to evolve over the summer and as has always been Moloney and O’Connors way the team will be very much picked on form over reputation.

All things being equal I would have us at number 5 in the pecking order behind last years four semi finalists. I expect us to beat Limerick in a few weeks time but we are not all that far ahead of Limerick, Cork or Wexford to take any of them for granted. I think we have had a better spring than Limerick and look to have more of a grasp of what kind of team we are and how we want to play. I don’t see the Limerick team out pointing us and barring a collapse in the full backline I think we have more firepower and goal threat this year with the way we are set up to put up a decent score.

What do you expect the team to look like?
