All Ireland Hurling Championship 2018

DJ is a prospect.

Do not mind that myopic Tipp clown.

They are not top class like the 3-4 stars Tipp have. But individual forwards is not Waterford issue. Maurice is are very effective player too

A prospect but not a star.

Club mate of Ryan believes he will never do. No brain

No.

But we are not talking about stars.

Just good forwards

Name a team to win an All Ireland without a top class forward

So you think Burke is having nightmares over Tom Devine from a league quarter final from last year?

But you used the term prospect. A prospect is unproven.

Clare are rebuilding. Cork are no one knows. Tipp favourites ahead of Galway Waterford.
Wexford good but no All Ireland champions. Limerick are going to be hard to beat

Great analysis Joe.

Daithi Burke was on the beer for most of the league last year. He had some poor performances as a result

I’d say he was driven to the beer over Tom Devine roasting him sure. He’ll never get over it.

Kk are not gone yet. They will take scalps

Is Tony Kelly a forward or midfielder really? Clare 2013 had 5 good forwards and Kelly the only one youd call top class. But is he a forward?

You’re the greatest of them all Joe. No one here could hold a candle to ya.

I prefer to forget about 2013 as it was a freak year but I think Kelly played as a forward that year but I could be wrong?

It’s a bit chicken and egg and subjective on what a “good forward” exactly means. Would those 5 have been classed as good forwards before the start of the 2013 season or did they become good by winning big games?

Conor McGrath is a top forward. Or he was in 2013 anyway.

He certainly wore 11 in the final but would you in the fullness of time say he was a top class forward or a top class midfielder?

Id prefer to forget 2013 as well but you asked when an all ireland was won without a top class forward

I don’t think he’s been a top class anything over the last 3 or 4 years but I think he played as a forward in 2013 but I could be wrong. As was said Conor McGrath was a top class forward at that time anyway

He was in 13. But whats top class? Good season or good career. Shefflin is top class. Joe deane is top class. I wouldn’t be including fellas who had one good season. Clare were brilliant in 2013 but it was a brilliant team effort and a system that suited perfectly
