Half thinking of going to this as Iâll be in Dubland at the weekend. Youâd imagine it will be close to capacity, Parnell is only around 12k.
Theyâll give kk a right game off it.
Are any of these games on tv this weekend?
Kilkenny vs Dublin in the hurling; and Galway vs Mayo in Football. Both RTE.
A pity Offaly v Galway isnât on live too.
I donât think rte like blood sports
Dubs to give the cats plenty of it⌠I still feel cats will sneak it. This could be the game of the weekend.
Dublin by 2.
No Richie Hogan on the 26. No Paul Murphy or Colin Fennelly in the starting 15. Weâll hammer the cunts!
Thatâs their team from the League pretty much, so probably no surprises. Fennelly & Murphy there if needed though.
Dublin can go very close here. Iâve great faith in gilroy.
Conor Fogarty on the bench too. Anyone on the outside looking in after the league remains so having to earn their spot back. Seems fair enough. The lads just back from army duty probably need time to get up to speed. Corner forward selections are probably most debatable. Sheehan is a little light. He is skillful and has good pace. Aylward is hit and miss. Very streaky, needs to get build confidence early in a game.
Sean Moran v Tj Reid could be an outstanding clash.
Kilkenny will take beating all year, some bench & Hogan still to return.
Galway v KK AI Final.
Iâm off the opinion kk were absolutely flat out for the league where the likes of Galway and tipp didnât give a fuck. Theyâll always be hard bait but I donât think theyâll challenge for the all Ireland.
Winning Leinster is key for KK. It all but secures a Final appearance.
No fooling ye Tipp lads.
On paper, even taking into account their League victory, itâs not a fantastic Kilkenny team but there is a lot of potential. I mean there must be 5 debutants there.
Two new wing-backs (who admittedly were very impressive in the League); a new (if not made up of debutants) midfield- Leahy is really talented, and Maherâs finally getting a big chance after a bad injury or two but itâs still a lot to ask when it gets to the serious business.
Then youâve got Keoghan, who looks a serious asset; his work rate is off the charts. Think he was only a sub in the All-Ireland U-21 final but has really taken to senior hurling. John Donnelly is one that there may be question marks over on the harder ground but again, he gives you ballwinning & work rate as an absolute minimum; and Sheehan is very skilful but looks very very light for this level.
Itâs even more new players than Limerick are introducing. I suppose they have the aces in the pack like TJ and Buckley that others donât have- genuine top class players.
Still, even outside of the young players; I still think there might be weaknesses in that full-back line and is there enough scoring power outside of TJ?
Dublin looked a rabble in the League; a new full-back and centre-back will help, but again, I just donât see how theyâre going to get the scores to beat Kilkenny with the forwards theyâve named.
I would guess Eoghan o Donnell will pick up reid. Moran for all his attributes is not much of a man marker
