Wrong. Youāre overthinking it. This is their marketing department here:
Doesnāt matter. Without Bonner it collapses up front and Paraic Maher canāt win a game on his own from centre back.
Fair enough Iām not suggesting their genius by any stretch but Iām certain the publicity PP garnered from all their accidental on purpose mistakes wouldnāt have gone unnoticed. And if that means a silly price here and there, all the better
I was referring to a different type of party that Sheedy and Maher would be into. Seamie Callinan too by all accounts
fair nuff
Yes but the Kilkenny folk who attend will go to a county final . Tipp folk may attend a county final . A lot of Lk and wex folk at an AIF couldnāt tell you the current county champions in their county
You canāt stop Callanan I donāt think, you can only starve him. He was almost completely shackled against limerick and could easily have gotten three goals.
Stop the half back line and you stop Tipp.
Work rate from a team is far more important in the modern game than any individual. Teams struggle to find 15 lads who play a physical game. Limerick have this. No individual will beat it.
Fuck Pawdee Maher btw
I think it will be a Limerick v Wexford final. I also think it will be a Limerick v Wexford minor final which should help a little on the ticketing front with only two competing counties on the day.
The Galway minor team are meant to be a serious outfit and the team to beat this season, according to three knowledgeable Wexford hurling men.
I was zipping through hundreds of posts on this thread last night and I think it was referred to at the timeā¦
But what about Benny Cummins throwing in a āwan on treeā for Horganās third goal amidst loads of āwan on wanā mentions elsewhere in the match.
Lovely to hear his co-commentary evolve like that.
Myler getting awful abuse from Cork supporters this morning. Been referred to as a āblow inā and the need for a corkman to manage them. I know them inside out. I was saying this last night. @Locke spot on
Itās very hard for an outsider to gain acceptance in Cork.
Myler is there 45 years. He is still regarded as a blow in
Cork regarded now as a soft touch and lacking manliness. They should move heaven and earth to bring in Davy Fitzgerald
Not sure where Cork go from here ā¦ Spillane was a loss but outside that you only have u20s to plug defensive gapsā¦ If Meyler is kept on he wont have time to develop a team, it will be all about results ā¦ If a new man does come in, then heāll be given at least a year to bring on a few ladsā¦ problem the other end then is Hoggie, Kearney, Harnedy, Cooper are all pushing onā¦ but they are going no where with that set of backs.
Someone needs to reign Fitzgibbon in as well - heās a greedy fucker that wastes too much ball - he has the potential to be a fine player but he needs coaching. - goes missing for large chunks of games also. ā Cork havent been the same team since he goaded Richie English in the semi - final last year.
Tim OāMahony finally showed a little something when he came on yesterday and I think Robbie OāFlynn has decent potential as wellā¦
They need a Cork man at the helm tho, not a blow in. They need someone to unearth that Corkness in them.
True. They seem to be rather clannish and parochial.
Babs is actually spot on there. Sounds weird to say that. Iāll get to that in a second.
A really curious game where youāre left wondering were Kilkenny good or were Cork bad. Here is how Iāve landed on the latter. Ask yourself this: Who was the best Kilkenny player on display yesterday? Hogan? Fennelly? There were many good performances but nobody really individually dominated in the way weāve seen Kilkenny players do in the last 15 years. Maybe thatās a good thing, weāll need to wait and see on that.
One thing is for sure, when the game was there to be won the Cork half forward line did an elite level vanishing act. On top of that they had the most accurate man on the field picking passes to Kilkenny men in Anthony Nash. An absolute omnishambles of a puckout performance. Heād want to have been embarrassed walking into the dressing room after that. Kudos to Horgan, an incredible individual effort to keep them in touch. Without him and Alan Cadogan it would have been an absolute hiding. Did Lehane even touch the ball?
I donāt think weāre good enough to beat Limerick. Iād love if I was wrong but I just donāt see it.
