All-Ireland Hurling Championship 2019 II*** Up Laois

No need for a reply of a Munster final

The long league is nuts . The championship should start 2 weeks earlier .

Which of the league competitions are you referring to. The winter league from January to March or the early summer league in May/June?

The national league . Four or five games is enough . To be honest the round robin provincial championship may well be old hat next year . Interest could certainly wane in Munster . It has been a pretty uninspiring championship if truth told Geoff .

Laois aside, Probably the worst championship in living memory I think it’s fair to say

It’s all about making sure the football gets the max coverage

The Munster championship was not good . Leinster was enjoyable and we can judge the quality over the weekend.

The Laois win was good to see .

The quarters were only ok overall

Hurling got away more coverage on terrestrial tv this year mike and there were few enough memorable games .

To be honest August is good time to finish up and let the bread and butter stuff start .

I’ve no complaints kid. I’m in my own little cocoon here anyway

I am not complaining . Just saying the championship hasn’t been great. Also the IC season takes up too much of calendar year .

It’s been a poor championship but that has little to do with the structure of it, and more to do with the levels teams are operating at. Waterford and Clare getting bet out the gate is not a prompt to go back to the drawing board - yet.

Dunno what the vibe is down in Wexford, but the biggest surprise is the lack of hype about them coming into a winnable semi final. 2018 was the summer of hurling, 2019 is the summer of golf I guess.

That is a good point . I would think all 4 competing counties are glad that Shane Lowry and Adare manor stole their thunder . Keep a lid on things

Half baked championship without joe canning

Shit, did he miss the whole lot? I thought he played a bit.

A few minutes on one leg. See him while you can mate

I can’t, Galway got knocked out.
Oh, you meant next year. OK. Will do.

Are you a fan of thai food?

No. Coconut :frowning:

How about cheap pints of bitta?

Earlier this summer I was reckoning on a Limerick Tipperary All Ireland final.

However, now I am predicting a repeat of the 1996 final pairing.
