I love the smell of napalm on a Monday morning. Tipp v Limerick canā€™t come soon enough.

There was 4 security personnel yesterday in the City End terrace protecting the perimeter of the scoreboard areas. You couldnā€™t stand directly in front of the scoreboard but could stand 2 steps down from it. They were taking cans of fellas and they were also strictly enforcing no smoking policy on the terrace. Vaping was a bit of a grey area but they alllowed it after a brief conversion with some lad on a Walkie talkie.

The system was changed after last year to ensure no one had to play 4 weeks in a row again. None of the counties that played 4 consecutive weeks qualified.

Another anomaly is that Tipp will play away from home in their 1st match every year, likewise Limerick will start with a home game every year.

Thereā€™s a real distinct possibility that the current Champions may not ever win a match this year, has that happened in the backdoor era?
Waterford have a serious backlash in them and Clare are a notch ahead going on form.
If you donā€™t 100% want it in the modern game you are dead ducks

They changed the format this year, think that might be an acknowledgement.
No team going into this yearā€™s championship had the same disadvantage as Tipp, Waterford, last year.

What?

Would you head in to the match after the fight?

Will he fuck, heā€™ll tip up to Loughtagalla and watch Peake Villa instead

Youā€™d try to be magnanimous in victory but the Limerick crowd make it very hard

1 of many factors. It certainly helped them.

Limerick brought nothing really new to the table yesterday compared to last summer and the spring. Cork knew exactly how Limerick were going to hurl and picked their team accordingly and got their match ups spot on and were able to set up to counteract Limerick. Even the majority of the new lads blooded over the league were pretty much like for like replacements slotted in to play the role of the man they replaced as opposed to try and give the team a different dimension.

Whatever about touch being slightly off or hunger, the fact that Limerick were not able to make any changes to their set up to try and change the momentum of the game second half aside from empty the bench was fairly damning of their sideline.

Cork went from being utterly destroyed on their own puckouts when forced long last weekend to pretty much winning every long puckouts Nash hit second half which gave Cork a massive platform to dominate yet Limerick just ceded these by the looks of it rather than trying to counter it.

Did Limerick score 3 points from play second half?

People give out about Tippā€™s lack of breaks last yearwhich was rightly unjust, however Limerick and Tipp both hadnā€™t played prior to their game. Therefore, there was no advantage and we won fair and square. Same with the Cork and Tipp last year, there was no inequality between the teams, so no one else at fault bar Tipp for their downfall. They didnā€™t get a break, but it was gone before that had an effect anyway

Thereā€™s a new one, off the ball has it that they were tired from bringing the cup around to the schools

Imagine believing otherwise :joy::joy::joy: of course it helped them, doesnā€™t excuse anything but it did help.
