Ye were looking sharp for the first 10 when ye went 0-4/ 0-1 up. After that the desire waned. I’m not sure was it a case of Limericks supremacy or Waterford just not bothering. Very unusual final score. I have never seen Limerick beat Waterford to a scoreline like that in all my years supporting Limerick.

Probably as close as we deserve to be. Very poor on puckouts, both our own and theirs; and more unforced errors on our part. Conlon would drive you mad on days when his radar is off. Went for shots a few times with options wide open inside him.

Conlons arm was heavily strapped, with heavy padding over the elbow. My reading is that clare are a bit thin for cover and risked conlon in a game he wasn’t 100% fit for, or anywhere near.

I’d say we hardly won a ball inside Limerick’s 65 in the last 25 minutes. It was pitiful. There is always a way back but it won’t be under this manager. His knell is knolled. I don’t know whether it’s more like Brian Clough at Leeds or the assistant manager who couldn’t make the step up like Brian Kidd at Blackburn. Either way we need to get rid and move on.

Two things majorly wrong with Waterford. Players are playing to get rid of the manager. No accident that the only two players to perform with any bit of dignity today, Lyons and Prunty were not part of Derek’s coterie.

Even if they weren’t the team has gone over the top. The three key leaders, Moran, Brick and Connors have all gone over the hill together and nobody has stepped up to the plate to replace them. It was almost tragic watching Moran today. On top of that Barron and Austin Gleason have disappeared up their own holes. It’s a clusterfuck.

I don’t know where we go from here, the players just gave up, it shows a huge disrespect for the jersey and the support. The displays against Clare and Tipp were gutless efforts as well. If that’s the character of these fellas, no matter who the manager is it wouldn’t matter a fuck. Who as a manager would touch Waterford after that?
