Not really, you didnāt have the concentration of so many games in May and early June.
Yes but kk had to bate fuck all in Leinster
Certainly true historically, but Kilkenny have been on a slow but steady decline since Galway entered the Leinster championship. It could be evened up further by putting Offaly in Munster and Waterford in Leinster. Two conferences like the American NFL.
Offaly arenāt in leinster anymore but your argument stands, avoiding the almost pointless munster final was a big help to limerick last year, if more counties benefit from finishing third āde magicā of it will fade and two even groups could gain critical mass
Thats the way its heading now. Personally Id run off the provincials this time of the year and then run off a round robin with a mixture of teams from both provinces in the AI series. Top of each group straight into the semis and second and third into the quarters.
4th place teams stay as they are anf 5th from each group gets relegated for the following year.
No chance of an agreement on two down, one is the max and munster counties are fairly protected from that as is so a hard sell. The only way forward though. The league is just filler now
Fine. You could have a relegation final then. But in the event that you have two relatively equal groups with teams from both provinces then that cushion should be taken away from Munster teams.
I would just have a draw every October with two bowls. One from Munster and one from Leinster.
Draw away to fuck then from each bowl to decide your groups.
Have a relegation final if you want between the bottom two in each group.
.
Grand for the Clare match tbf. Last yearās game only got 13k. The Roasters wonāt travel, so itāll be only the natives that might get upset at a scarcity of tickets for what will be a historic occasion.
Limerick game last year got 23k. Depending on how things shape up once the Munster Championship gets underway, you could easily get double the capacity of Walsh Park at this game if it were held in Thurles. Iād expect Waherfud to hold tough though.
The games are on in Walsh Park and no way will Waterford cede home advantage . It would also be madness from a commercial point of view for the city to cede . People will just have to lump it from both counties .
The people of Waterford deserve to be walked over in their own back yard.
Have my hotel booked for the Saturday night fixture in cork on June 8.
Youāve a great life, fagan.
Ah sure Iāve earned it, Ambrose
Mid-summer Saturday night games in Cork are what the new Munster Championship is all about. Iām jelly.
Will PUC be playable ?
Iāll drop by with Brady for a coffee early.
The GAA have decided to hold a new āBeach Hurling World Seriesā as part of their latest attempt to go global. Pairc Ui Chaoimh will definitely be playable for the finals of that.
