Yeah, strange enough team. Noel McGrath for all his skill and craft isnāt the type of lad you want midfield against a side with the movement and interplay which Cork have.
Has Brendan Maher much hurling done?

Not too much new blood making its way on to the Tipperary starting team. Still heavily reliant on the core of players from the 2006/07 minor, 2010 U21/Senior team.
I might call down to the Pairc on Sunday
Was excellent for Borrisoleigh against Clonoulty. Heād be one of the few there I couldnāt see letting them down
Played a club game or 2.
Ronan Maher the youngest outfield player at 24ā¦
7 of the team 29+
Just on Tipp vs Cork, I was expecting Paul Maher to start over Brian Hogan in goal. Callanan at centre-forward is interesting enough, but no Dan McCormack is a shock? I would have said heās arguably their most important player, there had been questions over Bonnerās legs. But if they can get him back up to speed, himself and OāMeara will bring a bit of dog to the forward line who have four lovely stickmen there.
Question marks over the midfield, well Breen, I suppose. Again, Iām surprised that McCormack isnāt here if heās not in the forwards.
No Alan Cadogan for Cork, I hadnāt heard that he was injured. I wouldnāt say thereās a whole pile new there on the benchā¦ Walsh back obviously, OāFlynn is lively and Dalton is decent but there arenāt a whole pile of forward options. Still, itās a strong starting 15 and you know what they have to offer.
Hard to call.
At least Cork have dropped Cahalane he is fucking useless and a liability
Whereās Colm Spillane gone for Cork?
Gone for the year last I heard
Out 4 another month . Big loss
Didnāt know he was injured. I havenāt heard of the lad replacing him.
Heās injured.
Tipp will fancy their chances against that full-back line; Cadogan is tough out but definitely can be caught for pace while OāLeary is a debutantā¦ the only thing is that as nice as hurlers as they all are, there is no real speed merchant in the Tipp full-forward line.
Declan Dalton while an excellent stickman has no business playing championship hurling. He has zero pace or guile.
I think he starred for UCC this year
Cork start 5 of their beaten all Ireland under 21 side while Sheedy ignores the team that beat them
That Tipp team must be the cumulatively oldest that any county will field in this yearās championship. Theyāve gone all-in on the first game.
Was very good in the Fitzgibbon, has been outstanding for Imokilly as well,
OāMahony was always going to start @anon78624367, heāll be a star for years to come
I certainly wouldnāt fear him or any of the forwards on the bench really, Cadogan would have been a good fella to have. You were talking earlier about that minor team from 2017, I think Turnbull is injured, he might have come in this year. Evan Sheehan hasnāt progressed as hoped. Downey is on the bench but heās seen as a wing-back now.
Millerick & Connery were two of the fellas hyped up a lot; I thought Millerick would have been on the bench over someone like Conor OāSullivan tbh. I think Connery is doing the Leaving Cert this year.
A Clare team which wasnāt a patch on it will have three lads from the 2017 minors see game time on Sunday.
