All-Ireland Hurling Championship 2019***

What did those pricks say to you pal?

Good post mousey, you clare cunt.

Good post big mick, you clare cunt.

Jesus club affinity was basket case in galway growing up. Players prevented moving due to the parish rule, families abused if someone did get a move. Heated debates over which stone deliniated said parish. Lads from x were fucking cunts, until you started drinking and working and realised they were some of the soundest lads going.

As the lads you grew up with retire or move you lose affinity, the senior team is a bunch of kids with dodgy haircuts now, id go and watch them the odd time but not out of my way to do so. Its a great institution in rural ireland (provided you keep the poisonous cunts out and some clubs don’t)

A very fast and athletic ginger wing back from Vincents called Seán Lambe was playing for Dublin U20 last night. With my commentator’s eye, I think I may have spotted the next Jack McCaffrey.

The Lambes are an institution in Vincent’s. There are about 150 of them all with red hair and they’d all fight with their own toenails. As a family they would all be renowned for talking a lot. At a recent Vincent;s fundraiser they had a sponsored silence for them. Basically a load of them had to sit around a table for the night and not talk. It was advertised as “Silence of the Lambe’s”.

He’s Derek now talking about club involvement cc @HBV

I also see muldoon yet accomplished, and seemingly sound, TV sport presenter Tommy Martin seems to have thrown his lot in with Vincents.

Who was it again that mentioned Derek’s use of tautology?

It was a very good observation, one which I found amusing and funny.

The GAA is an organisation built on hatred and as an organisation we need to embrace the hatred rather than trying to water it down. All neighboring Counties hate each other but their is also lots of hatred between counties that are not neighbors. Everyone hates Dublin. Dublin generally reciprocates. Everyone hates Ulster teams and they hate back and are pretty good at it too. At club level all clubs hate their neighboring clubs along with any successful club in their county. Within clubs Hurlers hate footballers and visa versa and they both now resent the growth in camogie and Ladies Football because they take up pitch space and funding. Everyone hates referees. WIthout hatred the GAA would be dead long ago. Give Respect, Get Respect my bollocks.

Derek will have to get back involved with Waterford at some level, they seem to be falling apart.

Just an FYI to the forum (seeing as it’s barely being mentioned), Kilkenny and Cork are playing Sunday. Loser will be out. Looking forward to it, even if I’ll be the only one watching it

That’s a fantastic quote

Most people hate a lot of mullagh

They’ve done a lot more for Galway hurling than most.

Think Derek started out with St Saviours in Ballybeg before moving on to De La Salle.

Killester was traditionally a home for British army veterans. That estate that @Bandage lives in was built by the British legion.
