Whelan and Burke both scored more against Mccarthy Cup teams in the league than Glennon, despite being way below their best and with little to prove. He is a physically small, non-scoring corner forward, I donât think there has ever been much use for them sorts in hurling.

No, theyâre the kind of lads whoâs main role is to mind the valabels bag. 
Although if physically non imposing non scoring corner forwards had no place in hurling, Iâd never have got a game.
Come to think of it, I rarely did.

I wouldnât have him myself, I was shocked that he was played so often in the league. But having done so, and having seen him do fairly well, what option does Donohue have?
Last year, the a lot of your forwards underperformed but seemed like he didnât even have faith in the likes of Flynn or Burke to start ahead of them. I really canât think of any forward whose been hard done by here.
