Limerick by 6+
Waterford will beat Tipp handy.
Lay off the drugs
Limerick have very little of the bench. Nothing teams donât know about it anyway and Galway made up massive ground on limerick last year when most presumed it was limericks bench that would swing it. I would think limerick will need to be up 7 or 8 with 20 to go. Itâs like a horse with a run v a horse fresh. Itâs a huge advantage to have a run. Limerick improved massively from opening to second game last year.
Weâll see Sunday sure
Like if cadogan and cooper are back and 100 percent and cork improve 5 points as a team which youâd expect with the cobwebs blown off itâll take a huge limerick performance. Our opening performance under kiely havenât been great in 2017 and 18. Limerick will have to be close all ireland semi final/final form imo to win.
I agree with you for the most part but we wont need to be near that level just yet.
Cork, on form, do match up very well with Limerick.
There isnât a huge form line to go on given how new the round robin system is but Clare had a demoralising in round one below in Cork last year where the game was there to be won with 10 to go and Cork stood up and took over. They regrouped and utterly bullied Waterford the following week. Granted it was a home game, by the same token Tipp gave a massive second half performance against Cork after losing to Limerick in round one and following it up with another stinker of a performance in the first half v Cork.
Waterford also gave a massive performance in their second game despite a host of injuries and only for a massively contentious umpiring call would have beaten Tipp.
So you would think that there will be some bit of a bounce back in both Cork and Waterford this weekend. Especially as both teams know that another defeat this weekend pretty much finishes their season. It is in essence a knockout game for both teams while Limerick and Tipp may not have the same urgency for victory.
I think lads are underrating the score Cork put up last weekend too. As @fenwaypark alluded to, Tipp were just untouchable last week and tbf Cork gave them bags of it up to 50 minutes.
Limerick in reality should have plenty to see them home but a Cork win will not be a shock.
If Bill Cooper comes back surely Cark are unstoppable?
I heard he has beaten a bear in a wrestling match
Donât forget Cadogan.
Bill Cooper will have overtaken Christy Ring by Saturday
It wasnât a contentious umpiring call.
Cadogan isnât back, donât listen to that twat. Even if he was the current full forward line is undroppable, even if Lehane should be dropped.
Yes
Whoâs a twat?
No idea mate.
@Big_Dan_Campbell what did you make of Dublin last weekend?
Wexfordâs 5 forward set up will probably suit them and allow accurate long range shooters like Crummey and Moran to score a bit.
The tight Parnell Park pitch could turn it into an attritional arm wrestle. Whoever wins the collisions will go a long way to winning the match.
How much did Casey and the Dow contribute off the bench in the final? From scores and frees?
