Did you get sorted ?[/QUOTE]
I didn’t try mate. When they go on sale again, could you see if you could get me 2 Cusack Stand tickets? Section 306 or thereabouts. Around row X or Y.
I thought in the first game Tipp were a score or two away from giving Kilkenny a real beating. Kilkenny to their credit hung in there.
If Tipp perform the same way again then can only see them winning it and with a bit to spare. Tipp have to believe after the first game that they can beat this Kilkenny team.
My suspicion is that Walter Walsh will be dropped for picklington, who looks markable these days. If tipp hit as few wides again, I think they will win.
reminds me a bit of final last year …everyone thought after first day Cork wouldn’t be as bad the next day…but it turned out that was good as they were…i think people expect Kilkenny will be better the next day but its hard to know how much more they have left in them…some of the players look dead on their feet and while its a 3 week break physically, its also an extra 3 weeks onto a long season mentally…a few kk lads I would say already have their mind made up to retire…think it will be their greatest achievement if they manage to win this…think tipp will win by 5+ points…
Looking at the players on each team and who may have room to improve, I think kk have more space to improve. I think that Michael Fennelly in particular has played way below the level he is capable of and maybe with the couple months hurling under his belt now might approach delivering a performance. He could be a game winner. Kk may also have the depth to make a few telling changes to their starting line up. For Tipp on the other hand there is no player who you could suggest has it in them to play to a far higher level than last day out. Their one potential change is Cahill, one of the best hurlers in the country, but they then have the quandary of whether to stick him. At midfield on Hogan maybe and if so does that upset their balance there. I don’t have any doubts about kk being mentally tired, it’s not something that appears to affect them. I was surprised at Tipps mental strength the last day. They have tended to lose close games in recent years and I expected the pattern would repeat again but they showed serious grit clawing back the last day to almost nick it, they’ll take heart from that and carry on til the end of the replay also.
