All Ireland Hurling Final 2025 - Tipp's 29th

Apart from jumping on top of him and kicking the left leg out from under him, I suppose you could argue Downey did nothing wrong.

He makes the games hard to watch on the TV so he does.

There’s an obsession with global audiences on AI final days perhaps because of Joe Connolly’s iconic words

”Ach freisin caithfimid cuimhneamh ar dhaoine i Sasana, i Meiriceá, ar fuaid na tíre. Agus tá said, b’fhéidir, ag caoineadh anois i láthair.”

But that was a time when people from Ireland and the West in particular had no choice but to leave to find work.

If Marty wanted to be accurate about the Irish watching abroad nowadays he’d name check the Costa Sol and Villamoura but that’s not quite Joe Connolly.

An Olympic Sprinter taking on an ex Tipperary Hurler on the streets of Thurles of a Tuesday morning.

Does it ever get better?

Marty needs to fuck off and do the Rose Of Tralee or something and then he can talk about New York and Boston and Sydney and Toronto and Southern California to his heart’s content.

Ger Canning should have been given Sunday’s final. He might be glad now he wasn’t given it but he should have been given it.

Ursula is the worst pundit I have seen or heard in any sport since Trevor Francis.
Commentator " And he’s just received the ball on the edge of the box, shifted it onto his right foot, and passed it in to the net"
Trevor “Yeah, he just received the ball on the edge of the box and passed it into the net with his right foot”

Ursula is like a Scouse fishwife version of Trevor.

The minority sports commentators and pundits they have on RTÉ during Olympics are generally far ahead of the GAA ones.

Ewan needs to make the move wholesale into wholesome feelgood content like this.

I think that may be down to the fact that they aren’t around long enough to give us all a pain in the hole.

That may well be the case.

Christ he’s after wintering well for a lad who’s no more than mid-30’s. Does he still hurl senior for Kilruane? I’d say the *Brian O’ Meara who hurled for Tipp in the 90’s and early 00’s would give Sharlene a much closer race.

*Blaggarded out of an All-Ireland final appearance by Liam Dunne back in 2001.

No he was manager of Kilruane a few years back. He came on for 5/10 mins when they won the county final.

Suffered terribly with injuries but his lifestyle wouldn’t have allowed a long career anyway.

A bit of a legend in north Tipp especially.

Also we know more about the sports in terms of gaa soccer etc so easier to spot shite talk/bluffing. The swimming lads made absolute cunts of themselves before the race where wiffen won bronze.

Carlow linesman Pat Aherne was the villain of that piece.

Tomas Mul was very wary on up for the match

A photographer now I think. O’ Meara did hit Dunne back to be fair. Dunne had a reputation for red cards back then that would leave Darragh McCarthy in the halfpenny place.

They were only dunting each other with the butts of the hurls which was standard jostling behaviour in those days.

Was driving around your way on Saturday. There’s a serious amount of Carkie’s loving there going by the amount of flags on the side of the road.

You’d hope young Mawdesley won’t spend any more of the week around the likes of the lads that video shows her with. A real high performer, them lads will end her
